History
The earliest match report found so far for the club was in The Football Argus records of January 1920 when an Hafodyrynys team played Panteg at home. We’re not sure where the club was playing then but it is thought that in c.1926 during the depression the pitch, as we know it today, was made by filling in two ponds at the site. In earlier days the Hafodyrynys Hotel was used as a headquarters; with the skittle ally acting as a changing room. There are many questions still not answered about the club but we are trying our best to unearth its history; as pieces of surface we will add them to this page.
