Hafodyrynys welcomed Bettws to a dry but windy Welfare Ground for their Div 3 clash.
The Hafod were boosted by the return of inspirational captain Daniel Crandon but were with their try scoring No 8 Kyle Griffiths.
The Hafod started strongly,moving the ball and turning down kicks at goal in order to kick for the lineouts but were hit by loss of forwards Jamie Partridge and Matthew Phelps.  The Hafod opened the scoring after a good passing movement which saw wing Emyr Ackerman held up just short of the line but from the ensuing ruck wing forward Brain Barton on his return to the club crashed over for the try.  Score 5-0.  The Hafod continued to dominate the game taking a series of tap penalties but strong Bettws defence kept their line intact.

Half time 5-0
The second half continued in the same vein and eventually the pressure told with outside half Kris Moses crossing the whitewash and the try was converted by full back Chris Stevens.  Any thoughts of The Hafod going on in search for the bonus point were soon banished when straight from the kickoff Bettws turned the ball over and scored to leave the score 12-5.  The final play of the game saw The Rams attacking but an intercepted pass saw Bettws score and with the conversion,the final score was 15-12
